eNews – Concept Plan Not Admitted into Evidence

The Coalition and the parties heard from Justice Labrosse yesterday.  He confirmed that he had reviewed the written submission of the Coalition regarding the admission of the 1987 Concept Plan into evidence and said he was not persuaded that its admission into evidence was necessary.  He did confirm that he will provide his reasons with his decision on the 40PA which he will now proceed to finalize.
The Coalition and our legal team continue to feel confident.

Here’s to endings! They mark beginnings.  Let’s move on to 2021!

We agree with others who have said that the house felt a little odd this Holiday season.   Much less celebration, smaller and fewer festive meals and a barely white Christmas.  But, oh my, our Greenspace was beautiful and the weather incredibly co-operative allowing us to take it in almost every day.   We have never seen so many people enjoying our green and open space… hundreds on some days for certain.

Justice Labrosse will start 2021 by finalizing his 40 PA decision

The Coalition and the parties heard from Justice Labrosse yesterday.  He confirmed that he had reviewed the written submission of the Coalition regarding the admission of the 1987 Concept Plan into evidence and said he was not persuaded that its admission into evidence was necessary.  He did confirm that he will provide his reasons with his decision on the 40PA which he will now proceed to finalize.
The Coalition and our legal team continue to feel confident.  The Concept Plan was not deemed to be a critical piece of our argument but more in line with our ongoing approach to the defence of our Greenspace…“leave no stone unturned”.  We will continue to encourage the City opposition to the ClubLink development and will ensure that every possible piece of evidence or argument is brought to bear in stopping the ClubLink/Minto/Richcraft development.   We will bring you news from the court as we get it.

What will 2021 bring?

December wraps up our financial year at the Coalition and we will provide you with an update as soon as possible. For certain, we will still be fundraising in 2021.
