We’ve sold over 400 signs and our final batch has just arrived, so don’t delay and buy one today. These signs get noticed – by community members, elected officials, and decision-makers. They show that support for protecting our greenspace remains strong, visible, and growing across the community. Thank you for helping keep our issue front and centre. This is our last batch… order yours now!
This Week’s Message: GIVE OUR GREENSPACE BACK…
the last message of our Online Pressure Campaign
Here’s your quick message idea: The intent of the 40% Agreement remains clear – to preserve the greenspace at the heart of our community. Municipalities and local communities – not provincial tribunals – should have the final say on how neighbourhoods are planned and protected. Send them a photo of the new “OUR KANATA OUR SAY” lawn sign or take a photo of this one right here!

ClubLink opens up and puts a price on its moneymaker
Historically tight-lipped, ClubLink let its plans out in its recent TWC Enterprises Limited Q1 2026 CLUBLINK Report dated May 1, 2026 [reporting as of March 31, 2026] in acknowledging the Minto and Richcraft deal.
It is a dry read, a typical corporate report. Unless, of course, you’ve been watching the ‘threesome’ of note for the past seven or more years and are as invested as you and we are. From page 19-
In April 2026, in conjunction with certain options it had in regards to the sale of Kanata Golf Club, the Company concluded it would participate in a joint venture with Minto and Richcraft for the servicing and home construction build out of the Kanata site.
ClubLink’s share of the joint venture profits will be 44.5%. ClubLink will be contributing the golf course land to the joint venture and receiving an equity credit of approximately $30,000,000. It is expected that this transaction will be closing in the third quarter of 2026.”
We understand that all this information has made its way to City Hall. ClubLink appears guaranteed an 11-fold return on its $2.6million purchase of the Kanata Golf Club. Much less than many have touted for the past seven years. Of course, the developers are also counting on a profitable development. All we know, is that the situation is ripe for the city to step in and dial back this development fervour and help these guys see that there are much better moneymaking (correction profit taking) opportunities elsewhere. We’re STILL counting on the city and we think you can too.
To walk or not to walk. To golf or not to golf. That is the question.
We receive constant inquiries about our community continuing to use the KGC lands. We repeat. The land is private property and our designated rights of access (albeit in winter months only) are seen to have died alongside the 40% Agreement. People are walking on the course and some with golf clubs and golf balls. The issue with the latter- we have had reports of near misses, and unfortunately, hits. A gentleman was hit by a golf ball while sitting on his back deck. Another hit on the head. Another reports a golf ball through a window.
There is a recognition that those using the land for golf currently are probably not serious about their golf… more about the fun and whacking it. Unfortunately, it’s always been a tight course, very short on the sidelines.
We very much want to avoid a controversy over this issue. We ask those who want to just go and whack a ball, to use a driving range instead. In the meantime, should you damage something or someone, own up to it. Golf is a game. Injury should not be part of it.
We hope you have great plans for the good weather weeks ahead.
Take good care… and get a lawn sign!
We’re best together!
