The Kanata Greenspace Protection Coalition wants to preserve and protect Kanata’s green and open spaces and promote the value of our natural environment. We want you to join us at ForeverGreen – A Gala to Honour Greenspace. We’re building on the huge success of our Spring Lawn Sign campaign and bringing our many supporters and community partners together for some fabulous food, live entertainment, auctions and more.
Jean Teron and her son Chris Teron have graciously agreed to serve as Honourary Co-Chairs of the ForeverGreen Gala. It was the late Bill Teron’s vision of communities built within and around natural environments that shaped our wonderful Kanata community. He believed that residents should be able to live, work and play in their own neighbourhoods. The KGPC is fighting to keep that vision alive by protecting our open spaces and keeping our green spaces accessible to us all.
We’re also thrilled to announce our Keynote Speaker, Diana Beresford-Kroeger. Ms. Beresford – Kroeger is a world-renowned botanist, biochemist and author known for her outstanding efforts to preserve the Earth’s climate and forests through the use of ethical scientific and traditional concepts. She has published over 300 articles and five critically acclaimed books on the natural world.
Thank you Christine Hauschild, of Christine Hauschild Ottawa Real Estate Team, a Contributing Sponsor for the Gala.
Our cocktail reception and the music of Dave Kalil of Duelling Pianos opens our evening at 6pm. We’ve got an exciting Silent Auction lined up to get you started with lots of great items still rolling in including getaways, golf, jewellery, gift certificates, tickets, experiences and much more. Like us on Facebook and stay tuned for a full list of items ahead of the Gala!
And just to make sure it is an over the top evening, our very own Kanata Lakes auctioneer Roy Carver will be driving up a frenzy as we showcase some incredible items in our Live Auction including
- One week stay in paradise, at a luxury oceanfront condo on Jaco Beach in Costa Rica (Donated by David & Heather McNairn)
- 4 tickets to Club Bell Loge – Ottawa Senators vs. Arizona Coyotes on Feb. 13th – includes parking passes, food and non-alcoholic beverages (Donated by Myers Automotive Group)
- 16″x20″ oil painting of Monk Creek in March Township/Kanata by John Mlacak (Donated by Beth Mlacak)
- One week stay at an idyllic riverside apartment in the village of Andlau in the Alsace region of France. (Donated by Anne Mundy-Markell & Gene Markell)
During the Gala, a numbered cork raffle will lead its lucky owner to a mystery bottle of fine wine from our Wine Wall. Not only will our guests have a chance to take home great bottles of wine … but some of the bottles will have additional prizes attached!
We still need a few more quality wine donations to complete our Wine Wall.
If you cannot make it to the Gala and support the KGPC with a ticket purchase, consider a wine bottle donation the perfect way to support our great cause. If you would like to donate a bottle or two, please email email@example.com
Tickets are $150. Purchase your tickets Now! Parking is free at the Brookstreet Hotel for the Gala.
Dress Code: Cocktail Attire
We have Sponsorship opportunities remaining for the event and there will be both Silent and Live Auctions
