We are thrilled to inform you of some new effort underway in our community by the good folks at Ecology Ottawa.
Ecology Ottawa is committed to making Ottawa the Green Capital of Canada!
They are a volunteer driven organization that believes that Ottawa residents are concerned about issues such as climate change, pollution and waste, and that they want sustainable communities where clean energy, air, and water, public transit, recycling, and green space protection take priority. They provide residents with the information and tools they need to understand local environmental issues and promote environmental leadership at city hall.

Keep Nature in Our Neighbourhoods
Our group was approached by Ecology Ottawa in recent months as they looked for neighbourhood partners to protect natural community spaces, the newest progam in their Living City initiative… Keep Nature in Our Neighbourhoods. They have been helping us encourage community participation to protect two key open areas in Kanata North – the Kanata Golf Club as shared community open space and the South March Highlands.
We are happy to partner with them for two educational workshops in our community
